The mythological woman comes to life here through a silhouetted figure adorned and complicated with found imagery, iconography, and diagrams. Each component of the ‘active collage’ provokes notions of the (mis)representations of femininity that circulate contemporary culture. Compositions are projected onto hanging vellum panels, illuminating the larger-than-life figures as if they were “heavenly”. Panels are hung in space so that the viewers can move around the figures, putting their bodies in relation and offering an encounter in which they may discover personal connections or associations with the imagery. 

Printed handouts offer a guide to each life-sized panel. Objects and visual content is redacted to suggest the trouble with attempting representation through such empty means.
