The F5 Tower is the US headquarters for F5 Networks, a savvy tech firm with a quirky personality. The 28-floor tenant space is located in downtown Seattle, the center of a booming tech ecosystem.
WAYFINDING
A comprehensive signage and wayfinding strategy takes inspiration from the F5 brand and encourages daily movement throughout the vertical campus to promote staff engagement within the space.
It was important to our team that the environmental graphics and signage components were integrated with the interior design, and used the environment as a vehicle for expressing direction and establishing a sense of place.

TOWER-WIDE PUZZLE
We created a tower-wide “meta-puzzle” which included a series of 42 puzzles scattered throughout discrete social spaces within the building. Users were encouraged to seek out all 42 to solve the greater tower-wide puzzle. The unique design taps into F5’s “hacker” culture, encourages teamwork, and promotes exploration of F5's vertical campus. (Crafted in collaboration with ‘puzzle master‘ Sandor Weisz.)

Two double-sided lobby signs face the prominent downtown streets of Seattle. The F5 logo is rendered via rectilinear tubes attached to steel rods which span the vertical length of the window bay.
CUSTOMER STORIES
In an effort to bring F5 product and service successes to life, we worked with the client to define a series of stories that demonstrate how F5 products have positively impacted small businesses, etc. Physical and digital content is recessed into the wood wall paneling, helping the installation feel integrated. We used magnetic material for physical elements to allow the content to change and remain fresh.
