Collection—25 is the 2025 Rhode Island School of Design
runway show, presenting the final collections of twelve graduating Apparel
Design seniors. While each collection is distinct, shared themes of ritual, dystopia, and the metaphysical
emerge—a blend of the intimate, the speculative, and the spiritual. The show's
identity reflects these ideas through the visual language of garment-making and
symbolic registers of belief, decay, and transcendence, drawing on sacred geometries, stitching, tracing, and the
needle’s sharp precision.
At its core is the scarf—a traditional symbol of luxury, reimagined as a carrier of the show’s identity. Serving as poster, artifact, and apparel, 150 scarves were printed, worn by show staff and faculty, gifted to guests, and wrapped around the official booklet. This approach positioned the identity not only as a graphic system but as a textile object—a gesture of physical material memory of time and place aligned with the spirit of the collections themselves.
